Teach for America worst case scenario: 10 year old 3rd grader will never graduate from high school and have pretty much no life prospects unless you can overcome his behavior disorder and teach him to read (starting from a Kindergarten level) this year.
Law School worst case scenario: getting a C. At Georgetown. Maybe a D if I didn’t show up for the exam and have to take it later.
So why can’t I shake the stress? Stakes are a funny thing. T-7 days.

Stakes are what you make of them. That’s why teachers in the Gifted and Talented programs (who have students who almost all will end up in a 4 year college program) and teachers in the route 1 corridor (a little area of schools with students who pretty much all live in apartments with broken windows) all stress and obsess. Everyone is battling something that takes their attention. Law school stress is no less valid.
